Moonstruck: punk rock jewelry

Hey guys! While in Paris I met Kim Sang Hee, a jewelry designer that makes amazing statement pieces with a punk rock edge. Her designs are certainly not for the wallflower girl: they are heavy, rough, mixing metals with leather, but also super feminine and sexy. I really loved all her pieces - from the chuncky leather and chain bracelets, to the detailed chokers and the sexy masks. Kim has worked in high fashion close to names like Karl Lagerdfeld, Christian Lacroix and the house of Balmain, and you can feel the influence of haute couture and great design in her work. http://www.moonstruck.fr/accueil.html

The amazing Le Pré Catelan, Paris
Found deep within the Bois de Bologne, a litle forest on the fringes of the 16éme arrondissement, Le Pré Catelan was one of the most unforgettable experiences I had in my life. Three Michellin stars are well deserved for this iconic restaurant that not only offers amazing food but mainly provides an unique gastronomic adventure. All the praise that chef Frédéric Anton has received since taking over the famous restaurant is confirmed in every single dish that comes to the table. Anton is all about being unique and is not shy or afraid to stand out has an adventurous, bold chef. I started my meal with Le Crabe - crab cooked in three ways (Le coque, as a soupe and with caviar). As a main course, I decided to have the sole, again, cooked in three different ways: au naturel, poivadre and purée d'artichoke. My favourite, dessert, was a delight to the eyes and the mouth. La Pomme: souflée croustillant, crème glacée caramel, cidre et sucre petillant. Meaning? a plate with a shimmering sphere is placed in front of you. You have to break it with a spoon and use a bit of strength to do so. Inside there is a mousse of sweet/sour cider with pieces of apple. You'll have to dig deeper inside this mousse to taste the crushed caramel bonbons, the rice crispies and the crushed Bréton biscuit. Unbelievable, fun and yum. The meal ended with le Nôtre chocolates. I loved every single second of it.

Parisian chic: a book by Ines de La Fressange
Hi everyone! I've finally got my hands on Ines de La Fressange's book: Parisian chic. I have been following her career since the days that she was Chanel's muse, and I have to say that she has always stand out among other models because she's super wit, classy and incredibly funny. In this style guide that she wrote with Sophie Gachet (Elle fashion journalist), again, Ines shows her great sense of humour and impecable taste, while sharing her tips for style and beauty (parisian way) and her favourite sources for clothing, beauty and decorating (in Paris and online). Her golden rule of fashion? never follow convention; never be bland; never neglect yourself.

Hotel review: Le Royal Monceau, Paris

Hey everyone! Just got back from a weekend in Paris where i've stayed in one of the most stunning hotels i've ever been in my life: Le Royal Monceau - Philippe Starck's latest project, and probably one of his best ever. I have stayed before at the Sanderson (that looks a bit like the Big Brother house) and in St Martins Lane (too white, too cold, too passé), but Le Royal Monceau is a completely other deal and level of quality. Every detail is stunning and Starck designed every inch of the hotel - incluing lamps and door handles. And you can feel his genius in every corner. The rooms and suites are ultra cozy with a very hip vibe - the tv inside the XL mirror in front of the bed is simply great. But the real eye-opener is the bathroom - top to bottom covered in mirrors. This is surely the coolest hotel in town where you can spot celebrities at breakfast. As for service: absolutely flawless.

A diamond on a piece of string

Hey everyone! I absolutely love a french jewelry brand called Redline that has an unusual concept: diamonds on a piece of string. The string is super strong and can take up to 60 kilos without breaking. Nevertheless, it looks delicate, understate and unique. I think they make a beautiful present - pay attention guys, your girlfriends will love them. Already I have three bracelets and one necklace and i'm struggling with myself not to buy a new one. Celebrities, like Linda Evangelista (pictured), also love it.  http://www.redline-boutique.com/eng
